2023-24 SEASON
THE MIDWEST CONNECTION

CHAI Collaborative Ensemble (CCE) continues their 2023-24 Season with music written by composers who are based in the Chicago area and the Greater Midwest region. In crafting this program, we also took inspiration from the winter season. While we in Chicago and the Midwest associate winter with frigid temperatures, snow, ice, and some mixture of winter activities and hibernation, it is also a time for reflection and some flavor of serenity. The season reminds us that rest and surrender are valuable parts of our lived experience. Even when things appear bleak outside, there is still an anticipation for renewal that comes with the spring.
We are thrilled to present this program in partnership with New Music Chicago Presents. We first made our appearance on the series in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when just about everything was live streamed. We’re glad to join them once again for their 2023 series, both live and virtually.
This concert is free and open to the public. It will also be live streamed for folks who cannot make it person.
