2022-23 SEASON

September 16, 2022 | 12:10pm

We continue to explore duo repertoire, or music written for two musicians. In this year's rendition of our ongoing "Paired" series, our Co-Directors have co-curated a program of song cycles that feature poetry by Gustav Pfleger-Morávsky, Wendell Berry, and Mary Oliver. Previously recorded in early 2022, we are excited to present this program live.

Scott Gendel | The Space Between

Lori Laitman | Early Snow

Laura Perkett, soprano

Talar Khosdeghian, piano

This concert is free and open to the public.

A lush musical tapestry that reflects on the passage of time, Susan Kander's eponymous setting of Leslie Laskey's poetry anchors this program. Also featuring works by Eric Ewazen, Jennifer Higdon, and Gustav Holst. This performance was previously recorded in the Summer of 2021.

Jennifer Higdon: Trumpet Songs

Gustav Holst: Four Songs for Voice and Violin

Susan Kander: A Garden's Time Piece

Eric Ewazen: Trio for trumpet, violin, and piano

Ryan Berndt, trumpet

We also have several exciting collaborations planned for our 2022-23 Season, that are still being finalized before we add them here. Stay tuned!
